It's sad now a days what's going on in our world when it comes to being a mother. The responsibility is being taken as a joke. Being 16 and pregnant in the new fad. A pregnant belly or baby on your hip is the new purse. It breaks my heart when finding a dedicated mother is rare.
I know that being a mother is my pride and joy. I will never be able to explain to anyone how deep my love is for my precious Luke. I can just gaze at him while he is sleeping and begin to cry at the thought of how much I love him. How every moment in his life is amazing. Every event I get to be involved in. First tooth, first step, first potty by himself, first time he dressed him self, and coming up soon his first day of Pre-K. I know 100% that when God made me, He wanted me to be a mommy <3 But when I see mother's who could honestly care less, my heart mourns. I am so thankful to the mother's who put thought into their decisions. Who pay attention to their children. Who love unconditionally!!
There are many different kinds of mom's. There are of course the mom who is blessed enough to birth their children. Those who are able to adopt poor children who no longer have a family member to take care of them. And one that has recently happened in my life, and it really just warms my heart. Mom's by choice. I can see God taking place so strongly in their lives. It's a family that has had some sad events but they have stepped up and gone over and beyond what normal families would. Your name doesn't have to be mom for you to be a mother. It can be "aunt, grandmother, sister".
I feel so blessed to be a mother. I will always be thankful for the mother figures in my life. I will always try to be the best mother God wants me to be. :) With Him giving me the guidance, strength, love and patience I know I am working closer to that goal.

Park with the Browns
Today we went to the park with The Brown family :) We got there when it was pretty cool still, also the playground we were at was in the shade. The kids had so much fun running around. Going down the slide, climbing up, riding on the horse bouncy toys, swinging. After they played for a bit, we all sat down and ate some lunch. They got a bit distracted a few times thanks to some butterfly's and a squirrel who was trying to get all our food. :) We had such a great time, and so glad we got to spend some time with The Browns. We have missed them a lot. Here are some pictures I took while we were there :)

Save Me
With a wave of your arm I would shutter. With the glare of your eyes I would cringe. With the yell of your voice I would hide. You knew the hold you had over me and you abused it every chance you had. Those nights forever scarred in my mind. Slowly replaying. Over and over. Never good enough. Always wanted more. Secrets. Lies. Pretending to my own. Pulling me alone. Keeping me silent. Your words are sharp. Your hands are heavy. Your moves are poisonous. Your eyes are daggers. Help me. Release me. Save me.

Where You Rest Your Head
So Luke and I had a crafty day. We decided we were going to decorate a pillow case and send it to Daddy :)
It came with two pillow cases, so I told Luke he could decorate the other one for his bed. Let me tell you, that was a hit right there!!!
After we got dressed appropriately, I set up the table with all the goods. Which were the pillow cases, fabric markers, blue paint, sponge brush, wipes, paper towels and two extremely excited McCullars!!
I had this perfect design in my head. We would do our hand prints and I would write something really sweet and loving in the middle. Well after we did our hands in the corners. It turned out to be way more difficult than I had hoped to use the fabric markers. So we had to just stick with something short and sweet :)
It's not how I planned and I'm a major perfectionist so I pick it apart but I just know that Danny will love it <3
Lukey had a blast doing his! My control freak self just let him have free reigns for his. I let him do whatever he wanted until his precious little heart was content. I also helped him write his name. :)
I believe it was a complete success. Was easy and didn't take long to do. We also had so much fun doing it.

4 Wheels on Shoes
So Luke and I went skating for the first time together :)
He didn't quite understand the concept when we were on the way there. I had showed him a video on youtube
but of course the only one's they had were of people doing tricks and that might have freaked him out a bit. lol
However once we got there and he saw all his friends, we couldn't get on his skates fast enough!! Luckily they had the ones that just fit over toddler's shoes. I think it gave him a bit of extra grip. It made him feel more in control. I was worried about his feet shifting around and losing his balance easier.
Hahaha, in this picture he is totally thinking, " COME ON MOMMY I JUST WANNA SKATE!" lol
So after multiple tries with finding the right size for me, we were finally out on the floor. I was a bit rusty and Luke was still feeling the whole thing out. We creeped into the middle section that was kid friendly. He had a death grip on me for a bit but as soon as he saw his friends he was gone! I have to admit, it made me sad a bit. To see my big boy who is ready to go out there and explore without Mommy. :( But I was so proud of him. He had the biggest smile on and was having such a blast. The first few times he fell, his little world came down crashing with him but I quickly showed him that if he was ok to just shake it off, jump up and try again.
We were there with our church and had shown up a bit late, big mistake because the hour and half we were there was clearly not enough time for this kid!! We had quite a melt down leaving. All the kids did in fact.
However I promised we would go again, and he actually added that to the list of things he wants to do with Daddy once he is back at home :)
